13-Day Astronaut’s Diet To Help Lose Weight

Astronaut’s Diet is a great way to accelerate the metabolism of the human body in order to lose weight. There is no need for going into space for this diet. Follow our instructions and you will start feeling like in Zero Gravity with all the weight you lose quickly.

Real astronauts actually do not follow these diets but people with a strong will can only adhere to it. The reason is that it restrains the person from eating certain foods altogether. This diet is entirely consistent with protein products while fibers and carbohydrates are minimized to the extreme.

The main rule for this diet is to decrease your daily calorie intake significantly as the person consumes a lot of protein-based products, it will help the body to not experience muscle harm due to rapid weight loss.

The first step of the Astronaut’s Diet is to avoid all of the following food items altogether.

  • Sodas and fruit juices
  • Alcohol (mainly because it contains sugar)
  • Salt and sugar
  • Starchy vegetables (potatoes, beets, parsnips, and carrots)
  • Rice and pasta
  • Bread and cereals (no more pizza…)
  • Smoked meat products

Eat more of these products

Instead of eating beef, replace it with fish and instead of eating ham replace it with eggs. In addition to these foods, use the following foods as well in your daily diet.

  • Mushrooms
  • Eggs
  • Fish and chicken
  • Tomatoes and cucumbers
  • Lettuce and cabbage
  • Broccoli, cauliflower and green beans
  • Pumpkin
  • Salad
  • Cheese and tofu
  • Vegan milk (almond, rice, soy)
  • Others products that aren’t on the “restricted list”

For our reader, we have established a simple menu that you can adopt as it is or make some of your own healthy changes staying true to the Astronaut’s Diet.

Breakfast:

 For breakfast, eat two hard boiled eggs with one cup of black coffee with no sugar, cream, and milk.

Lunch:

For lunch start eating by half a piece of chicken in half a liter of chicken broth, salad filled with tomatoes and mushrooms and either a glass of Soy Milk of Black Coffee.

Snack:

If you feel like having a snack, try sipping on a cup of orange juice or green tea.

Dinner:

For Dinner, start by drinking a glass of Almond Milk and afterward eat fish and tofu; 150 grams combined.

  • Vitamin and mineral intake
  • A daily walk or a mild running
  • Plenty of water; preferably 2 liters daily
