Daily Routines Of The Japanese Women Which Can Make You Feel & Look Younger

When it comes to looking younger than your actual age, the prize goes to women from Japan. Some of these women look so young that it is harder to tell what their actual age might be. If you are under the impression that this is due to the change in the climate and the genes of these women, then you might be shocked to know that it is not. There are certain daily routines that these women do to help them appear younger.

We care about the beauty of our female readers and this is why we came up with the daily routines of Japanese women which can make you feel and look younger too.

Using rice water to wash the face

Rice is a food item that is enriched with minerals, antioxidants, and vitamins; all of which help the skin be protected from the signs of early aging. Japanese women, since ancient times, have been using the rice water to wash the face as well as their hairs. There are several methods of using rice water but we recommend the following fermented rice water or washing the face.

  • Put a cup of rice in a bowl and rinse it with water a few times.
  • Add 2 cups of water in the rice and let it sit there for 15 minutes.
  • Strain this soaked rice and place it in a tight jar for about 2 days at room temperature.

The fermented rice will be ready and you will know of it by the smell being a little sour. Use the fermented rice water to wash both hair and face. Be sure to dilute only a little amount of fermented rice water with 2 cups of clean water.

Using the foaming net instead of rubbing face with bare hands

Most of us use our hands to rub our faces for cleaning them but in reality, we are actually making the skin of our face to be less toned. As for Japanese women, they use foaming nets or clothes to clean their faces with skincare items.

These nets are helpful as they not only make dense foam but also prevent the fingers from touching the facial skin. Only apply a little bit of the face wash on these foaming nets and clean the face with them.

Seaweed face masks

Seaweed is renowned for its healthy effects on the body and in Japan it is widely used. However, in addition to ebbing used as a food seasoning, it is also used by Japanese women to make their skin glow and be hydrated.

In order to use the seaweed for making the skin glow and appear younger, follow the down below instructions.

  • Take ¼ cup of seaweed powder and mix it with olive oil and warm water.
  • Mix them well to have a thick creamy texture and apply it to the face and the neck region.
  • Let it sit for 15 minutes.
  • Rinse it with warm water.

You can also use the seaweed strips to cover the face as well for equal benefits.

Eating the balanced diet

What we eat reflects back on our beauty and it has been a proven fact for a long time. The diet of Japanese women is a really fresh and extremely healthy one. They follow a balanced diet which includes the following rules.

  • Eating fresh and unprocessed food items like fish, fruits, vegetables, seaweed, green tea, and fermented soybeans.
  • Eating animal-based food times in a moderate amount.
  • Not eating processed, sugar and refined food items.

Using skin care products that have camellia oil in them

One of the popular flowering trees in Japan is Camelia and the Japanese women like to use the Camelia oil extracted from the seeds of this tree’s flowers. The Camelia oil is renowned in Japan for its ability to penetrate deep within the skin and help retain moisture. The oil is also enriched with fatty acids and antioxidants that protect the skin from environmental exposure and make it softer.

Soaking body in a hot tub

One tradition that is prevalent in Japan is to soak your body in the bathtub full of hot water or visiting the local hot springs. Soaking your body in hot spring is considered extremely therapeutic due to the minerals found in these springs.  These minerals can penetrate the body to calm the nerves and also get rid of the conditions of the skin that prevent a lady from appearing younger.

If you do not have the luxury of visiting a hot spring, then simply take a dip in your bathroom’s tub filled with hot water and add in some essential oils to get the natural feel.

Drinking green tea and also applying it as the face mask

One thing that Japanese love too much is drinking green tea. This is a potion of youth that is filled with antioxidants to help treat the body from within. Japanese women discovered its exterior use as well by making their own green tea masks. The facial mask from green tea helps to erase the wrinkles as well as detoxify the skin.

  • Add half a tablespoon of Matcha green tea in 1 tsp of clear water and half a tsp of honey.
  • Mix all of them well and apply it on the face.
  • Let it sit for an hour before rinsing it off with warm water.

Protect the skin from the sun

Japanese women avoid spending time outside in the bright sunlight, as much time as they can. The aggressive sun rays like UVB and UVA cause immense damage to the human skin and especially to that of the sensitive skin of females. This actually speeds up the aging process by causing spots and wrinkles.

Even on a cloudy day with little sunshine, 80 percent of the UV rays can pass onto earth and affect the human skin. This is why Japanese women of today use sunscreen products whenever they venture outside and also try to limit their time outside altogether.
