Banana peel

Mixing cucumber paste with yogurt is effective in not only hydrating the skin but also giving it a rejuvenated appearance. This facial mask helps to relieve the sunburns along with the puffiness surrounding the eyes.

In order to relieve the puffiness around your eyes, simply cut off 2 pieces of fresh cucumber and place it over the eyes for 15 minutes.


Dermatologists often recommend not using the lemon directly on the skin especially if a person has sensitive skin. They still do believe in the wonders of the lemon juice when used by combining with ingredients like sugar, honey, cucumber, and olive oil.

Lemon ice works with different ingredients to help to reduce the pimples, improving the skin brightness and decreasing the oil from the skin.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera has been used by females since ancient times to treat their skin. The wondrous plant has not only moisturizing properties but also anti-aging, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties.

The gel of the Aloe plant helps to get rid of dark spots and even skin tone.

To use it simply take a blade of the aloe plant and extract its fresh gel.  Apply the gel on the face every day to treat the skin.


Applying the pulp of potato on the face every day helps to reduce the darkness of the skin and giving it the natural glow.

Raw slices of potato can also be used to help get rid of dark undereye circles. Simple cut off 2 pieces of potato and place them over the eyes for a few minutes.

Olive oil

Olive oil is another amazing ingredient that moisturizes the skin and thus gives it a natural glow along with protecting it from the UV radiation of the skin.

In order to obtain the aforementioned results, simply take a few drops of Olive Oil and apply them on the neck and face in a massaging manner. Afterward, take a warm towel and place it over the skin for 30 seconds and then wipe away any excess olive oil.

Orange peel

Orange peel also contains the skin nourishing and refreshing properties due to it having vitamins. It also helps combat acne. Mix a peel of an orange in some yogurt and Rose Water. Apply the mixture as a facial mask on the face and let it sit for about 15 minutes.

Rinse the mask off with warm water to get the desired effects.

Green tea

Drinking green tea has lots of benefits but it also has topical uses for relieving the signs of skin aging and giving it the natural glow. Make a mixture by adding green tea in brown sugar and cream and apply it as a face mask. Rinse the mask off after 15 minutes. Ice cubes of green tea can be used to cleanse the skin for refreshing it.


One beauty secret that has bane passed down among females since ancient times is to treat the skin with milk. Raw milk helps the skin be pretty due to it having fats, proteins, and calcium. This makes the milk act as the natural moisturizer as well as a cleanser.

All you need to do is to dab a piece of clean cloth in milk and rub it over the face. Let the milk dry off on its own and rinse afterward with warm water.


Toothpaste not only treats oral problems but also facial problems such as acne. You can apply it to individual places affected by acne or use it as the face wash.

For face wash, apply the toothpaste on the affected skin and massage it thoroughly for 2 minutes. Afterward, rinse it off with cold water. Ingredients like sodium fluoride, triclosan, and Sodium lauryl sulfate can cause slight irritation to those who have sensitive skin.
