Facial Masks You Can Make at Home

Most people, after reading what the facial masks are made up of are scared of using them. However, don’t be afraid, there are literally many facial masks that can be made at the comfort of your own home and are safe to use. Have we mentioned that they are super effective as well? Well, they are.

Today we want to share with our readers some super effective recipes of facial masks you can make at home.

For Reducing inflammation

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana
  • 1 tbsp of yogurt
  • 1 tsp of soda

How to use it:

Mash the banana and add in it soda and yogurt. Apply the paste over your face and let it sit for 15 minutes. Rinse it off with warm water.

Bananas help reduce acne and inflammation as well as treat wounds and burns.

For Getting rid of large pores

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp of yogurt
  • 1 tsp of cosmetic clay
  • 1/2 tsp of honey

How to use it:

Mix the cosmetic clay, yogurt, and honey well with each other to make a thick paste. Apply this paste over your face and let it sit for 20 minutes.  Rinse it off with cool water only.

This mask contains yogurt that allows a person to be rid of large pores as well as lightening the pigment spots.

For dry skin

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • 1 tbsp of milk
  • 1 tbsp of honey

How to use it:

Mix all of these ingredients well to make a thick paste. Apply it over the face and let it sit for 15 minutes before rinsing it off with warm water.

Avocados are enriched with healthy fats. This allows it to not only moisturize the dry skin but also reduce the effects of UV light.

For removing dark circles under the eyes and swelling

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp of coffee grounds
  • 1 pinch of black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp of coconut oil

How to use it:

Mix all the ingredients well and apply the paste under the eyes carefully. Let it sit for 10 minutes and rinse it off with warm water. Afterward, gently massage the face for a few minutes.

This mask helps narrow the vessels under the eyes to reduce the swelling as well as the dark circles.

For lifting skin

Ingredients:

Only 1 ripe tomato

How to use it:

Cut the tomato in pieces and place them over your face. Let them be placed there for 10 minutes. Rinse afterward with warm water. Tomato contains a substance called Lycopene that offers the following effects for facial skin.

  • Freshness
  • Toning the lightened skin
  • Lifting the skin

For increasing skin recovery

Ingredients:

  • Few carrots 
  • Water 

How to use it:

Peel the carrots before grinding them in a blender. Add in this blended mixture lots of water and mix well. Apply this paste over the face and let it sit for 20 minutes.

Carrots are packed with beta-carotene that is effective in treating little wounds on the face as well as making the skin look healthy.

For removing oily shine

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 of a potato
  • 1 tsp of lemon juice

How to use it:

Cut the potato in half and rub it gently over the face. Afterward, let it be placed over the ace in smaller pieces for 10 minutes. Rinse afterward with warm water.

Another method is to grind a fresh potato and add in it 1 tbsp of lemon juice. Mix them well and apply it over the skin. Wash it afterward with cool water.
