The skin over feet’s form thick patches due to the friction of a lot of walking. These thick patches of skin are called calluses which are quite literally painful. Most of the time, they tend to occur in the following areas of the body.

While most of them are harmless, some might become infected and can cause a lot of trouble. While there are many conventional methods of doctors, there are still some of the effective remedies to treat calluses at home.
Today we have made a list of fast and effective remedies to treat calluses at the comfort of your own home.
Aspirin
A simple drug like Aspirin can help treat your calluses. Simply take 6 tablets of aspirin and crush them in powdered form. Mix this powder with water and some lemon juice. Apply this paste over the calluses and wrap the feet with a towel. After a few minutes, scrape the calluses with the help of a pumice stone.
Baking soda
There are two following ways one can use baking soda to treat calluses.
- First one is to simply add some baking soda in your bath water.
- An alternative method is to add some baking soda in water to make a paste. Apply this apse on a regular basis over the calluses until they are fully healed.
Tea
While drinking a nice warm cup of tea has lots of benefits it is also great for the skin. Simply mix some chamomile tea or the essential tea tree oil in the water and soak your feet in it. This bath allows drying out the skin and treating the calluses.
Don’t worry about tea stains over the skin. They can be cleaned with simply water and soap.
Rub some cornstarch
Cornstarch helps to dry the calluses which also make them less irritable and protected from other possible infections as well. Even in cases of painful calluses, rubbing cornstarch is highly effective.
Vinegar wrap
This remedy is simple enough. Simply soak a piece of cotton in vinegar and place it over the calluses. Then tape this cotton piece. Let it sit overnight and in the morning, rub it with a pumice stone.
Beware that the vinegar only touches the calluses instead of touching the surrounding skin.
Vitamin A and E oils
Vitamins are not only healthy to consume, but their topical use is also quite effective, especially for the calluses. Prick the vitamin A and E capsules with the help of a needle to extract their oils. Mix these oils and rub them over the calluses. Perform this remedy before going to sleep.
