It is also cost effective to use these food items for skin care instead of using those expensive brands and on the plus side, it’s all natural so zero chance of side effects.
Today we have prepared a list of foods that you can use as natural skincare products.
Papaya
Papaya fruit is enriched with vitamins and minerals that can fight acne. The fruit contains following minerals.
- Vitamin A
- Vitamin C
- Beta hydroxyl acid
- Papain
- Potassium
The fruit comes with amazing effects for dull and aging skin. Making a mask and applying it over skin can make skin glow along with exfoliating it.
Just mash some papaya and mix soon of honey in it. Apply it over face for 15 minutes and rinse off with warm water.
Apple
Apple is an amazing fruit that is packed with following nutrients.
- Vitamin C
- Vitamin A
- Copper
The apple mask is beneficial for skin as it helps repair, release and provide protection as well as nourishment to the skin. The apple mask is very great for oily skin.
To make it, take two grated apples in a bowl, add in it 1 spoon of curd, 1 spoon of lemon juice and then mix all of them to make a mixture. Apply the mixture as a mask over face for 165 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.
Strawberry
Strawberries are packed with vitamins, foliates and antioxidants that are highly beneficial for oily skin and acne prone skin.
Mash 3 strawberries and add in it 1 tbsp of honey and apply it as a mask over face for 15 minutes. Rinse the mask off with warm water for rejuvenating effects.
Avocado
Avocado is another fruit packed with antioxidants that makes a great anti-aging skin care product. The fruit contains the following nutrients that are great for hydration of skin as well.
- Omega 3 fatty acids
- Omega 6 fatty acids
- Vitamins E, c, and K
The mask allows the skin to be soft and hydrated.
To make the mask, take the flesh of one ripe avocado and mash it into a paste form. Add in it 1 tbsp of lemon juice and apply it over face for 15 minutes. Rinse it off with warm water.
Oatmeal
Oatmeal is not only great as a full diet control item but is also great for skin due to its soothing properties as well as its ability to balance the pH levels of the skin. This is why it acts as a great natural exfoliator for sensitive skin.
To make a mask of oatmeal; ground some oatmeal into fine form. Add in it two tbsp of milk to make a paste. Apply this mixture gently over face and massage the skin. Rinse it off only with cold water.
Dark chocolate
Dark Chocolate contains 75 percent cocoa which is a great stimulant for not only the body but for the skin as well. It is loaded with antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals that boost the moisture on one’s skin.
To make a mask, take 2 melted bar of dark chocolate and add in it 1 tbsp of honey, 2 tbsp of grounded oatmeal and 1 tbsp of plain Greek yogurt. Mix well the mixture and apply it over skin and leave it for 15 minutes. Wash the mask off with warm water.
