Harmful Habits That Each of Us has Without Realizing Their Harm

All humans have an innate sense in their mind that lets them know when they are going to be in danger. But still, there are some situations that humans cannot predict perfectly. This is especially true for everyday life and the habits we have during this life that we believe to be harmless but are in fact far worse than we can imagine. One of the common examples is using our phone all the time.

Today we have found some of the harmful habits that each of us has without realizing their harm. We can avoid these habits to have a healthier life.

Drinking straight out of the plastic bottles

Plastic bottles are enriched with harmful substances that are called Microplastics. These microplastics happen to be really harmful to human health as they can lead to the following complications in the human body.

  • The decrease in the fertility rate
  • Increase in the body fat
  • Negative impacts on one’s immune and nervous systems
  • Affecting the male genital development
  • Childhood obesity
  • Increased risk of developing cardiovascular diseases

These plastic bottles happen to be even more harmful to the health of children.

Using the dry-cleaned clothes

Most of us tend to steer towards the ease of getting our clothes dry cleaned but this process makes use of chemicals. There are lots of different kinds of chemicals that are sued for dry cleaning the clothes and some of them tend to remain stuck inside the fibers of clothes. When a person inhales these chemicals, there is a risk of developing the following health conditions.

  • Respiratory infections
  • Eye irritations
  • Headaches
  • Dizziness
  • Problems with vision

Holding Sneezes

One should never hold their sneezes because if a person does that, there is a risk of rupturing their eardrums because of the air that sneezing sends to a person’s ears. Holding a sneeze forcibly can lead to the blood vessels located in the nose, eyes, and eardrums to be squeezed and then rupture under pressure.

Spraying perfumes that have harmful chemicals

There are lots of perfumes and most of them are filled with harmful ingredients that most perfume-making companies keep a secret. These toxic ingredients are made from petroleum that can lead to conditions like the following.

  • Hormonal imbalance
  • Respiratory problems
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting

There have been worst cases of using such perfumes like cancer and perfume poisoning.

Popping pimples

Popping a pimple actually makes the condition far worse than it really is so it is highly advised to not do that. The face has an area called ‘Triangle of Death’ which has its link direct to the person’s brain and it can cause infections when a pimple there is squeezed. Nerves in that area, when squeezed, can lead to complications like vision impairment, meningitis, and even paralysis.

Use of cosmetic products that have in them synthetic components

Almost all the females on earth use cosmetic products for looking beautiful but what they do not know is that their makeup products often contain synthetic components. These components are very harmful to one’s health as they can tend to accumulate on the skin over a long period of time and can lead to conditions like skin cancer and in worst cases death.

Not changing the pillow

Each night, a person sleeps on their bed and places their head on their pillow; their pillow is actually absorbing their skin, body oil and hairs. These things attract those nasty dust mites that populate on the pillow which can lead to having bad skin allergies.

Plucking those nose hairs

Plucking nose hairs can often lead to skin irritation as well as inflammation. If a person removes their nose hairs, they also make their immune system weak which can often lead to brain infections and meningitis.

Eating the pre-packaged meals

In the modern lifestyle of big cities, nobody has time to prepare fresh food and they often retort to pre-packaged meals but they have fewer nutrients as compared to fresh meals. A lot of these pre-packaged meals tend to produce carcinogens when they are cooked at high temperatures. Also, they are rich in sodium which is bad for blood pressure. Some sugary pre-packaged meals have high sugar content which increases the risk of developing diabetes.
