Home Remedies to treat Wrinkled Hands

Wrinkling of the skin is something that no matter the gender, nobody likes to experience. It resulted when the skin starts to lose its elasticity that is the normal process as the person ages.

It is common for a person aging to experience wrinkles on their face and neck, they can also develop them on their hands. In other cases, wrinkles on hands can be caused due to the following causes.

Olive Oil

While Olive oil has proven culinary uses, it is also known for its amazing health benefits which mostly involves treatment of skin. The healthy fat in the olive oil allows the skin of hands to be free from wrinkles and be smooth.

The oil helps to nourish the dehydrated skin while the Vitamin E content accompanied by healthy fats helps to stimulate the production of skin collagen that in turn reduces wrinkles. It also tightens the skin to reduce the effects of premature aging.

For daily use, a person can apply some olive oil on their hands and let it be absorbed for 5 minutes. After that cover your hands with latex gloves to not let the oil be removed. It is best to perform this remedy just before going to sleep. Rinse off your hands with lukewarm water in the morning.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil being a natural emollient is able to fill in the gaps present in the skin in order to make it smooth. Other unique fatty combinations present in coconut oil allow it to be a good remedy for dry skin. Applying coconut oil before going out provides a natural barrier to protect the skin from damaging effects of suns UV radiation.

It is best to apply some coconut oil on your wrinkled hands before going to bed. Massage the oil onto hands in gentle circular motions. To lock in the oil, it is best to wear gloves while sleeping.

Tomatoes

Tomatoes are considered as antioxidant enriched foods which are beneficial in fighting off the oxidative stress done in by your body’s cells. Tomatoes help to delay the free radical damage of the body which in turns delays the skin aging effects that leads to fewer wrinkles.

Tomatoes are also enriched with Lycopene which helps the skin to absorb more oxygen from outside and inside than usual.

For daily use, it is recommended to rub 1 slice of tomato on your hand for 5 minutes. Let it sit for 5 minutes before rinsing it off with cool water.

Alternatively, you can also drink 1 glass of tomato juice to provide a nourishing effect on the skin from the inside.

Overripe Bananas

Due to the moisturizing properties of the overripe banana, it is one of the amazing home remedies to treat wrinkled hands.

The fruit being enriched with the following nutrients is able to provide a rejuvenating effect for the skin to fight off wrinkles.

  • Vitamin A, B, and C
  • Iron
  • Magnesium
  • Zinc
  • Potassium

For daily use, it is best to mash 1 overripe banana and apply its thick paste on the hands. Let it sit for nearly half an hour before rinsing it off with only lukewarm water.
