  • Chamomile tea
  • Water; 1 cup
  • Baking soda; 1 tbsp

Make the tea from the Chamomile tea as usual and let it cool for a bit. After the tea cools down, add the baking soda in it and mix it well until it dissolves completely. Now take a piece of cotton ball or a clean cloth and dip it in the mixture. Apply this mixture carefully only under the eye area. Let it sit for 15 minutes before rinsing it off with normal water. Don’t forget to moisturize the area as well.

To make the skin glow

Set aside a day for pampering your beautiful face and prepare yourself a face mask to help make you appear younger, fresher and brighter. For this, you only need to make a baking soda ask that needs the following ingredients.

  • Grapefruit juice; 2 tbsp
  • Baking soda; 1 tbsp
  • Olive oil; few drops

Place all these ingredients in a bowl and mix them well. Apply a smooth layer of this mixture on the face and let it sit for 10 minutes. Afterward, rinse off with lukewarm water and moisturize as you normally do.

You can also replace the olive oil with some essential oil like the lemongrass or the lavender oil. This will give the skin a relaxing scent.

Due to the consistency of the baking soda, it is great for making a non-toxic face and body scrub. The scrub made for baking soda can help effectively remove the dead skin cells as well as brighten up the dry skin.

For this scrub making, you will need the following ingredients.

  • Baking soda; 2 tbsp
  • Honey; 1 tbsp

Mix both of these ingredients well to make a thick paste. Take this paste in your hands and rub it gently over your face and the desired body parts. While applying, gently massage the area in circular motions. Let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing it off with lukewarm water.

Strengthening the hairs

For those ladies who dream to have thick hairs with huge volume, then this is the homemade baking soda hair mask for you. For this mask, you will need the following ingredients.

  • Baking soda; 2 tbsp
  • Castor oil; 20 drops

Mix both these ingredients in a bowl to make a thick paste. This paste can be sued as a shampoo alternative. One the hairs are wet enough, massage your hairs with this paste and let it settle in for a few minutes. Afterward rinse the hairs like you normally do but with lukewarm water. If you like you can condition the hairs but instead of blow-drying them, towel dry them.

Lighten the dark knees and elbows

For those of you who are troubled with dark knees and elbows and cannot stand the sight of them, you should try this baking soda remedy.

  • Lemon: half
  • Baking soda; 4 tbsp
  • Hydrogen peroxide; 2 tbsp

Mix the hydrogen peroxide and baking soda first and then add in the lemon juice from the top. Take this piece of squeezed lemon and now dip it in the baking soda solution. Apply this dipped lemon on the affected elbows and knees and let the paste sit for 15 minutes. Repeat the process a few times and afterward rinse it off with cool water.
