Cracked heels are the problems that not only women but men are also affected. While these cracked heels cannot do much damage to your feet at first, but if left untreated they can start to be a breeding ground for bacteria and infections. These bacteria and infections can then not only cause intense pain but also many other problems.
We presented a few home remedies to heal cracked heels and now we are back with some more.
Vegetable oil
For this remedy, follow these following steps.
How to use:
- First, clean feet thoroughly with water
- Dry pat them with a clean towel
- Put a thick layer of the vegetable oil on both feet from the tip of toes to the end of the heel. Massage the oil to let the skin absorb the oil thoroughly.
- Cover both feet with clean socks and sleep.
Doing this before going to sleep is the best time to use them. Vegetable oils have the natural tendency to be absorbed by the human skin naturally. Majority of the vegetable oils are packed with vitamin E, D, and A; all of which are effective in nourishing the human body.
Baking soda
For this remedy, follow these following steps.
How to use:
- Mix 2 tbsp of baking soda in 1 bowl of lukewarm water.
- Mix baking soda until it is completely dissolved.
- Soak both feet in this water for at least 20 minutes
- Pull your feet out and give them a good scrubbing with pumice stone
- Rinse your feet again with plain water and pat them dry with a towel
Baking soda works as a natural exfoliant that makes the removal of dead skin cells easy and also I packed with anti-inflammatory properties. It also helps mask the feet odor.
Aloe Vera gel
For this remedy, follow these following steps.
How to use:
- Before using aloe Vera gel, soak both feet in lukewarm water and give them a good rubbing with pumice stone.
- Pat them dry with a towel and afterward, apply a layer of the freshly extracted Aloe Vera gel.
- Cover both feet with comfortable socks and go to bed.
- Rinse your feet with lukewarm water after waking up.
Aloe Vera Gel has in it vitamin A, E, and C all of which are natural antioxidants. As for other elements like cholesterol, lupeol, campesterol, and β-sitosterol in Aloe Vera; they have natural anti-inflammatory properties. As for Lupeol, it comes with its own analgesic and antiseptic properties.
Lemon juice & Vaseline
For this remedy, follow these following steps.
How to use:
- First off, clean your feet by soaking them in warm water and then drying them with a clean towel.
- Now mix 3 drops of lemon juice in 1 tsp of Vaseline and mix them both well.
- Apply this cream over your cracked heels
- Cover both of the feet with only woolen socks and head for the bed.
- In the morning; clean them with only lukewarm water
Vaseline works like the natural moisturizer while citric acid present in the lemon juice helps the peeling of skin and regrowth of the new skin cells.
