Nearly 50 percent of the world population is affected by the Hair Dandruff problem. Dandruff is a condition that can occur at any age but the people most affected with this are somewhere in between the ages of 20 to 30 years. In this condition, the scalp gets dry that can lead to hair loss.
Today we have gathered a bunch of natural remedies to get rid of dandruff which is as follows.
Tea tree oil
If your shampoo has 5 percent of Tea Tree Oil in it, it has huge benefits to improve the scalp. With its antibacterial and antifungal properties, it helps get rid of not only dandruff but also various skin conditions.
To use it follow this method.
- Simply add 10 drops of it in the 200 ml bottle of shampoo. Wash your hairs with it in a normal way. However, let the shampoo sit for a few minutes on the scalp before rinsing it off.
- You can also use it as a massage oil but mix it with a carrier oil like almond or coconut oil. Massage your scalp thoroughly with it and let it sit for the night. Rinse it off in the morning with warm water.
Apple cider vinegar
ACV contains antifungal properties that can be used to treat both itchy and dry skin that results in dandruff. The acid in ACV helps reduce the pH level of the scalp which prohibits the growth of yeast.
To use it follow this method.
- Mix ACV in an equal amount of water
- After washing the hair, apply this mixture on the sill wet hairs
- Massage the mixture well on to the scalp and let it sit for 15 minutes.
- Rinse it off with warm water
Coconut oil
Coconut Oil is referred to as the “Blessing for Hair” as there is no hair problem that cannot be solved with it. Coconut oil contains antifungal properties that are helpful for curing the dandruff problem. It also contains the following compounds that nourish the hair.
- Lauric Acid
- Caprylic Acid
- Capric Acid
To use it follow this method.
- Warm some coconut oil in a bowl
- Rub this oil in scalp and massage it for 15 minutes straight
- Let it sit for the night
- Wash it off with warm water in the morning with a shampoo
Raw honey
Honey is a natural Humectant meaning that it holds the moisture of the hairs to prevent them from drying up. It also infuses the hairs with the following vitamins.
- A
- B
- C
- D
- E
- B-complex
It also provides hairs with calcium, magnesium, and potassium. All of these nutrients, help fight against dandruff and dermatitis.
To use it, follow this method.
- Wet the hairs
- Dilute the honey by adding 90 part honey 10 part water
- Rub it in the scalp for 5 minutes and let it sit for few hours
- Rinse it off with warm water
Neem leaf extracts
For hundreds of years, Azadirachta indica or more commonly known as the Neem has been used to treat several health conditions due to it being an antibacterial, antifungal, and natural purifier. It is powerful to remove any and every type of unwanted pathogens and dermophytes from the body.
To use it, follow this method.
- Boil Neem leaves in water
- Wash the hairs with Neem extract as you slowly massage the scalp with fingers deeply
- Rinse it off with lukewarm water
