The sleeping position in which a person keeps their hands on their sides while lying flat on their back is the most suitable sleeping position of a human being. This position has its similarity with the Savasana Pose of yoga and is known by the name Soldier Position. Sleeping is known to have numerous healthy benefits for human health.

In the Starfish position, person sleeps just like Soldier position sleeps on their back but the arms are on the sides of their head.

Log position

In Log Position, a person lies on their sides with both arms in a straight line at the downward position. The best side to sleep in this pose is the left side to provide better rest to vital organs of the body.

Yearner position

The Yearner Position is the one in which a person sleeps on their side with their legs being slightly bent while arms are stretched along with head being a little off-centered. Sleeping on the left side in this position is recommended for the safety of vital organs.

This position is the most prevailing one among the female populace. Like any other side sleeping posture, it is advised to sleep on the left side to reduce pressure on vital body organs

  • A little sideways position can be created in this sleeping posture by placing a pillow between the mattress and the stomach.
