Superfoods To Promote Healthy Hair

It is not uncommon for people of both genders to have a desire to have healthy and beautiful hairs. Unfortunately very few of them are able to have such a dream in reality. Keep this fact close to your ears that hair happens to be a fast grown tissue of the human body and whatever a person seats impact hugely on that tissues growth and health.

Salmon

There is a lot of research behind the reason to place salmon at top of our dietary list. First of all, it is enriched with omega 3 fatty acids along with vitamin B12 and D which are all beneficial for hair health. These omega 3 fatty acids help to keep the hair supple and the scalp hydrated. Deficiency of these nutrients is the reason that hairs tend to appear dull and a person experiences hair loss.

You can eat grilled, smoked or baked salmon but like any other food, do not eat in access otherwise it would prove to be more harmful than healthy.

Broccoli

Broccoli being enriched with vitamins such as A and B promote the production of Sebum. As for Sebum itself, it is a natural oil substance that is secreted from hair follicles to keep the hairs naturally conditioned. In addition to this, broccoli also has the following other nutrients which promote healthy hair growth.

  • Iron
  • Potassium
  • Magnesium
  • Omega 3 fatty acids

In order to gain maximum benefit of broccoli, it is best to eat them raw by adding them in your salads.

Cottage Cheese

Cottage cheese is another great food item for hair health. It contains in it two of the following high-quality proteins that prevent the dryness of the scalp.

  • Whey
  • Casein

Without an adequate supply of these proteins, the hairs tend to go dry as well as brittle.

In addition to this, Cottage cheese also contains vitamins such as B-5 and D which have a positive effect on hair growth.

Cottage cheese can be eaten as a healthy snack or person can simply add in a few cubes of it in either salads or soups.

Green Peas

Green Peas are packed with following minerals that are all necessary for the healthy hair growth.

  • Iron
  • Zinc
  • Potassium

In addition to this, Peas are also packed with vitamins such as B, B6, and B12 which all are necessary for the creation of red blood cells. These red blood cells are responsible for the transport of oxygen and nutrients to all parts of the body including the scalp via the bloodstream.

It is best to eat boiled green peas instead of raw one as they can cause stomach aches.

Mango

Mangoes are not only a tasty fruit for summertime but they also happen to be packed with vitamins and minerals which are all necessary for hair growth. Vitamin C in mangoes helps to blood to absorb more iron from food we eat because deficiency of iron can lead to hair loss.

As for vitamin A and D in mangoes, it helps to fight off dandruff while Vitamin E improves the blood circulation in the scalp.
